Thailand’s Young Guns Unleash Fury: 13-0 Thrashing of Brunei in Asian Championship Qualifiers

Just 47 seconds into the game, Thailand scored a goal and took the lead. From Pariphon Wongsa’s right cross and Siranai Phosri shot in to give Thailand a 1-0 lead.

In the 9th minute, from a cross on the left and Thanawut Phochai got the first header to save, coming into the path of Kelan Ryan again to make the score move to 2-0.

In the 43rd minute, from a corner kick, Wafik Danic blocked the wrong angle in his own goal to make the score 7-0.

In the 60th minute of the second half, Thailand were awarded a penalty when Jirapong Puengweerawong was fouled before Chanothai Kongmeng took responsibility for the kill, giving Thailand an 8-0 lead.

In the 74th minute, Jirapong Phuengwirawong passed to Natthakorn Rattanasuwan, the substitute, who received the ball before turning and shooting in. 9-0 was the lead in Thailand.

In the 78th minute, Jirapong Phuengwirawong sent a cross into the middle for Chanothai Kongmeng to score from close range to give Thailand a 10-0 lead over Brunei.

In the 80th minute, Siranai Phosri passed to Natthakorn Rattanasuwan, who shot the ball and bounced off the Brunei defence, converting the opening goal to give Thailand an 11-0 lead.

In the 89th minute Natthakorn Rattanasuwan scored a hat-trick to give Thailand a 12-0 lead against Brunei.

In injury time, Paripat Wongsa shot wide. Thailand led 13-0 and the match ended with this score.

For another result in the same group, Iraq beat the Philippines 2-0, making Thailand and Iraq the same 6 points, but Thailand had a better goal difference.
