Hureleyon McLean, a father of two, was shot after an argument with a neighbor living in the apartment below his. The Broward County police reported that the incident occurred around 3:30 PM on Thursday. A suspect has been arrested in connection with the crime.

Rose McLean, the victim’s wife, recounted the events leading to the shooting. The confrontation began when the neighbor complained about the volume of music coming from McLean’s apartment. Although tensions eased briefly, McLean followed the neighbor to his home, where the argument escalated, resulting in a fatal shot.

Rose described her horror upon finding her husband on the floor, covered in blood. The alleged attacker then threatened her, saying he would shoot her too if she did not keep quiet. Friends and family remembered McLean as a kind and beloved individual, especially among neighborhood children. A local pastor visited the family to offer prayers and support, calling for justice.

Residents noted that the accused was previously the president of the homeowners association. An attorney for the suspect stated that the case will be reviewed by the State Attorney’s Office to determine if it will proceed under self-defense laws.
