The highly anticipated work “Sono Bisque Doll wa Koi wo Suru” (original story by Shinichi Fukuda/published in Young Gangan, published by Square Enix), which has sold over 11 million copies in total and won a number of manga awards, including the Next Manga Award in the Comics category (2019) and the Recommended Comics chosen by Booksellers Nationwide (2020), and which was also a huge hit as an anime adaptation, is being made into a live-action drama and will start airing on the MBS/TBS Dramaism slot (MBS: Every Tuesday from 0:59 am / TBS: Every Tuesday from 1:28 am)!

“It’s great to enjoy what you love to the fullest!”

Gojo Niina (Nomura Kota) is a high school boy who is fascinated by Hina dolls and is training to become a “kashirashi” (head maker) who makes the faces of Hina dolls. He is absorbed in making his beloved Hina dolls, but his interests do not match those of the others, and he is unable to fit in with his peers. One day, Kitagawa Marin (Nagase Riko), a popular gal in his class, notices his dexterity and asks him to “make cosplay costumes” as an extension of making costumes for Hina dolls. Niina is confused, but moved by Marin’s enthusiasm, he starts making costumes. Marin loves anime, games, and manga, and enjoys cosplaying with all her might, following her passion for what she loves. Influenced by Marin’s behavior, Niina begins to break out of his shell little by little. The distance between the two people, who are complete opposites in body and mind, gradually closes through making costumes…!?

A costume-loving romantic comedy begins, with the main character giving his all to love and the things he loves!

The role of the popular girl in class, the gal Kitagawa Marin, who actually loves cosplay, will be played by Nagase Riko, who was selected as “Miss Seventeen 2018” and is active as a model, as well as appearing in many dramas and movies such as TBS’s “Kurosaki” (2022), NTV’s “Haru wa Tanshi Koi Seyo Danshi.” (2023), and EX’s “Tokyo Tower” (2024), expanding her range of activities as an actor.

In addition, the role of Gojo Niina, a shy high school boy who is a classmate of Marin and has difficulty asserting himself due to the trauma of having his hobbies rejected in the past, will be played by the up-and-coming actor Nomura Kota, who won the runner-up prize at the Men’s Non-no Model Audition 2023 and made his debut, and has appeared in numerous dramas such as EX’s “Until I Destroy My Husband’s Family” (2024) and CX’s “That Child” (2024). This will be his first leading role.

The two characters will give you the encouragement you need to devote yourself wholeheartedly to the things you love, so look forward to this costume-loving romantic comedy about a popular gal and a shy boy.
