On August 14, the 2024 “Yunji Cup” badminton competition of the Municipal Meteorological Department was successfully held under the cordial care and strong support of the Municipal Bureau Party Committee. 76 badminton enthusiasts from meteorological departments across the city actively participated in the competition. Yang Zhi, member of the Municipal Bureau Party Committee and Deputy Director, Peng Yunfeng, member of the Party Committee and Discipline Inspection Group Leader, Zhou Guobing, member of the Party Committee and Deputy Director, and Yu Qiao, Chief Engineer, devoted themselves to the competition together, adding a strong competitive atmosphere to the competition.

After a day of fierce competition, Luo Yongkui won the men’s singles championship, and Li Yan successfully won the women’s singles championship. In the men’s doubles competition, Peng Yunfeng and Zhang Shaojie had a tacit understanding, relying on accurate receiving, quick reaction and powerful attack, and won the championship all the way; in the women’s doubles competition, Sun Danrong and Li Jing successfully won the first place with tacit cooperation, powerful shots and excellent defensive counterattacks. In the mixed doubles event, Liu Fang and Liu Tingting showed a high degree of tacit understanding and tactical literacy in the game and successfully won the championship.
