The 29th Croatian Film Day “Ivo Gregurević” opens in Orašje
The Days of the Croatian Film “Ivo Gregurević”, which will last until September 8, opens tonight with a ceremonial academy in Orašje.
Five Golden Pool Arenas
Iljo Benković, president of the Ivo Gregurević Film Festival Association and president of the festival’s organizing committee, announced earlier that the festival will start on Saturday with a ceremonial academy dedicated to Ivo Gregurević and the opening ceremony of the film festival at the Kino dvorana in Orašje from 8 pm, after which a formal dinner and film gathering will be held at Tolis Palace.
The ceremonial academy of the 29th edition of the festival will be dedicated to the five Arena Pula Aur Ivo Gregurević.
There will be no film showing on Saturday night, so the first film from this year’s repertoire, “What is a Man Without a Mustache”, starring Ivo Gregurević, will be shown on Sunday night.
All film screenings are held from 8 pm in the Orašje Cinema Hall and are free for all citizens.
As announced by the organizers, the Festival has one new thing this year, the Children’s Programme, which will include films for children.
Free showings
The festival program will include nine films selected by festival selector Zrinko Ogresta, director and lecturer at the Academy of Dramatic Art in Zagreb.
Since 1995, the event “Croatian Film Days” has been taking place in Orašje. The Ivo Gregurević Award (formerly the Golden Ducat) is awarded for a contribution to the development of Croatian cinema.
