The 8th World Police Martial Arts Festival was successfully held at the Daedeok University Indoor Gymnasium in Daejeon on November 9th.
About 500 police martial artists participated in this competition, hosted by the World Police Martial Arts Federation and the Korea Police Martial Arts Association, promoting harmony through friendly competition.
At this event, officials including World Police Martial Arts Federation Secretary-General Heo Young-gil, Korea Police Martial Arts Association President Jang Hyeon-i, Gyeonggi Province Police Martial Arts Association President Park Chang-geun, and World Police Martial Arts Federation Training Center Director Kim Jong-cheol attended and encouraged the players.

In addition, as a pre-ceremony performance, the Daejeon Samwoo Taekwondo Demonstration Team (Leader Park Young-jo) demonstrated the essence of Taekwondo, from basic combined movements to self-defense techniques, force breaking, technical breaking, multi-directional obstacle breaking, and Taekwondo gymnastics, drawing applause from the audience.
Jang Hyeon-i, president of the Korea Police Martial Arts Association, said, “At this competition, we were able to confirm the passion of citizens for police martial arts, Taekwondo, and music boxing.” He added, “We will continue to provide a venue where martial artists can actively interact and show off their honed skills, so that police martial arts will continue to grow.” “We will actively support it so that it can develop,” he said.
