Vivek Ranjan Agnihotri’s next film, previously known as The Delhi Files: The Bengal Chapter, has been retitled The Bengal Files: Right to Life. Producers Abhishek Agarwal, Pallavi Joshi, and Agnihotri have announced a theatrical release date of Sept.5, 2025, for the film.

This film is the third installment in Vivek Agnihotri’s “files” trilogy, following The Tashkent Files (2019) and the commercially successful The Kashmir Files (2022). The bengal Files delves into the history of communal violence in Bengal during the 1940s,specifically addressing events such as Direct Action Day and the Noakhali riots. Agnihotri has characterized these events as a “Hindu genocide,” aiming to bring attention to this period of Indian history.
The film features Mithun Chakraborty, Anupam Kher, and Pallavi Joshi. Production faced challenges, including safety concerns that led to filming in Mumbai instead of kolkata.Despite these obstacles, Agnihotri and his team completed the project.
