Rebel Wolves has released the first major 1.1 update for its action role-playing game The Blood of Dawnwalker, bringing over 1,100 bug fixes, gameplay adjustments, and new animal interaction features across PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. GANK 電玩誌 reported that the patch weighs approximately 13GB depending on the platform and addresses critical progression blockers, inventory management, and combat mechanics following the game’s initial rollout.
Animal Interaction and Difficulty Modes Added in Patch 1.1
To accommodate players seeking a less demanding combat experience, the original Story difficulty has been renamed to Forgiving, alongside a brand-new Story mode that provides increased combat assistance.
Players can now acquire a consumable item named the Draught of Mind Rebirth to reset allocated points across the Swordmastery, Witchcraft, and Vampirism skill trees. This redistribution system gives players more flexibility to adjust their character builds during the campaign without being permanently locked into early choices.
Combat Balancing and Blood Effect Adjustments
Combat refinements feature improved target-locking logic to help players manage group encounters, alongside adjustments to the Shadowstep and Planeshift abilities. Merchants now include a buyback option, equipment inventories automatically hide already-equipped items, and identical gear pieces can be assigned to both daytime and nighttime presets simultaneously.

Ludens Media also noted that the update removes blood-expression restrictions in the Japanese version of the game, restoring the original visual presentation. Additional balance passes lower the health pools of high-level wolves and wild boars, while reducing the combat strength of a specific guard who could previously defeat the character Coen with a single strike prior to level 30.
Quest Progression Fixes and Remaining Technical Issues
A significant portion of the 1,100 fixes targets progression-halting bugs in specific missions. These include a permanently closed door in A Hero’s End that prevented access to the arena and final boss battle, an unspawned NPC named Anca blocking progress in Stronger Than Achilles, and an issue in Midnight Reckoning where Coen could improperly leave the mission area.
Rebel Wolves continues to investigate a distinct technical problem affecting systems running the AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT. On these specific configurations, enabling Frame Generation after a system shutdown can trigger a system crash. The development team expects to resolve this issue through a targeted hotfix scheduled for release between November and December 2026, ahead of the next major content update.
