The concert turned into a gathering? AKMU Net Blast Hosting Fan Blog: A Basic Fraud |
AKMU, a popular South Korean brother-sister duo, announced a performance in Taiwan on November 30. The event was advertised as an “exclusive performance,” leading fans to believe it would be a concert. However, it turned out to be a meet-and-greet event.
Many fans expressed their disappointment on social media, feeling misled. They criticized the organizers, stating, “If this is a meet-and-greet, I thank you, but I really want to cry,” and “This is basically a fan meeting, not a concert. Can this kind of promotion be so deceptive?”
AKMU consists of brother Lee Chan Hyuk and sister Lee Soo Hyun. Their songs, such as “Love Lee” and “Give Love,” have surpassed 100 million views. The duo previously held a concert in Taiwan along with aespa and NMIXX on October 19. Following that, the Art Room announced a special performance called “AKMU: ON AIR IN TAIPEI,” which generated significant interest among fans.
Upon arrival, fans learned the show would focus only on music, without games or other activities, resembling an AKMU-style music talk show. This further fueled their frustration, as many felt they had been completely deceived about the nature of the event.
