Recently, the County Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau organized a special action in our county to “strengthen the foundation, improve quality and increase efficiency” for animal quarantine supervision, further standardize animal quarantine order, crack down on illegal and irregular behaviors, and effectively maintain the safety of livestock and poultry products.

First, we will continue to strengthen the construction of the official veterinary team. We will strengthen the management of official veterinarians and effectively improve their ability to perform their duties. Official veterinarians must be certified to work, and perform their duties in a standardized manner in the implementation of quarantine, issuing quarantine certificates, managing certificate issuance accounts and badges and logos, and effectively prevent and resolve risks by analyzing cases and identifying omissions.

Second, we will continue to strengthen legal publicity and carry out warning education. We will strengthen the publicity of rules, regulations and policies for units and individuals engaged in livestock and poultry breeding, management, slaughtering and transportation. We will increase the intensity of investigating and punishing illegal and irregular behaviors, give full play to the warning and educational role of typical cases, and create a more open, transparent, standardized, orderly, fair and efficient legal environment.

The third is to effectively improve the effectiveness of special operations. We will comprehensively improve the effectiveness of various animal quarantine supervision work by focusing on the special operations of “strengthening the foundation, improving quality and increasing efficiency” for animal quarantine supervision, the special rectification operations to severely crack down on illegal crimes of meat products, and the special rectification operations on “clenbuterol”.

At present, more than 60 law enforcement personnel have been dispatched, more than 100 pieces of publicity materials have been posted, and more than 30 management targets have been investigated, and no violations of regulations or laws have been found. In the next step, the County Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau will strengthen cooperation with relevant departments to form a joint force, establish and improve a long-term mechanism for animal quarantine supervision, and ensure that animal quarantine supervision work will reach a new level.
