20th Century Studios has released new promotional materials for The Devil Wears Prada 2
, including a final trailer and a series of character posters featuring the original lead cast. The sequel is scheduled to debut exclusively in cinemas on May 1, 2026.
The upcoming film reunites Meryl Streep, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, and Stanley Tucci, who return to their roles as Miranda Priestly, Andrea “Andy” Sachs, Emily Charlton, and Nigel Kipling. The production also brings back director David Frankel and writer Aline Brosh McKenna.
Plot and Character Developments
The narrative sees Andy returning to Runway magazine, where she now serves as the Features Editor. The story follows Miranda as she navigates a shifting media landscape and manages the position of Runway within that new environment.
The plot involves a reconnection between Andy and Emily Charlton. In the sequel, Emily has become the head of a luxury brand that possesses funding potentially capable of ensuring the survival of Runway.
Expanded Cast and New Additions
Alongside the returning leads, the film introduces several new characters to the franchise. Kenneth Branagh joins the cast as Miranda’s husband, while Justin Theroux portrays Emily’s husband.

The final trailer for the movie features an original song titled Runway
, performed by Lady Gaga and Doechii. Tickets for the May 1 release are currently available through Fandango and other ticket vendors.
The sequel arrives nearly 20 years after the release of the first film, which debuted in 2006 and was based on characters created by Lauren Weisberger.
