People’s Daily, Longyan, August 29 (Li Weiyi) Recently, when walking into Tingjiang National Wetland Park, the fragrance of flowers and plants filled the air, and the sound of insects was endless. This area, once severely affected by soil erosion, has now become an ecological tourist destination with beautiful scenery, gurgling water, and continuous forests and fruit trees.

Tingjiang National Wetland Park is located in Sanzhou Village, Sanzhou Town, Changting County, Longyan City, Fujian Province, a national historical and cultural village. It is the fourth national wetland park and the first river-type wetland park in Fujian Province.

According to Tang Qinhong, Party Secretary of Sanzhou Town, after the historic transformation from “barren mountains covered with fire to green mountains and clear waters to mountains covered with flowers and fruits to mountains of gold and silver”, Tingjiang National Wetland Park has rich biodiversity, with the Yellow-bellied Tragopan and White-necked Long-tailed Pheasant as first-class national protected wild animals, 9 species of second-class national protected wild animals such as Flower Cicada and Tiger Frog, and 424 species of vascular plants. In addition, there are 267 species of wild vertebrates in Tingjiang Wetland.

In the next step, Tingjiang National Wetland Park will adhere to the principle of “grasping both ecological and economic benefits”, and use the ancient national style, the Farmers’ Harvest Festival, Hakka food culture, etc. to promote the continuous development of study tours and parent-child tours.
