The GIANT Company launches guided shopping tours for GLP-1 users

Six grocery store locations in Pennsylvania are launching guided one-hour shopping tours this October for customers using weight-management medications like Ozempic. The initiative, run jointly by sister grocery chains The GIANT Company and Martin’s, aims to help shoppers choose protein-rich, high-fiber, and nutrient-dense foods that complement GLP-1 treatments.

Pharmacists Lead GLP-1 Nutritional Tours at Six GIANT Stores

The guided grocery sessions, branded as Talk & Tours, have limited space available at each participating supermarket. Pharmacists and dietitians from the wellbeing team will lead the visits to assist shoppers in selecting items that meet their specific nutritional needs while using GLP-1 medications.

The October tours take place at the following six store locations:

• GIANT at 277 Hershey Road, Hummelstown
• GIANT at 698 Downingtown Pike, West Chester
• GIANT at 275 Pauline Drive, York
• GIANT at 3301 Trindle Road, Camp Hill
• GIANT at 44 Natural Springs Road, Gettysburg
• GIANT at 315 North York Road, Willow Grove

The supermarket sessions place a heavy emphasis on protein-rich options to help dieters meet nutritional requirements and increase feelings of fullness. Alongside protein, the guided walks spotlight high-fiber and nutrient-dense choices across store aisles.
