Irish actor Domhnall Gleeson has stated that the new Sky Max mockumentary series, The Paper,‍ shoudl not be viewed‍ as a revival of the beloved American sitcom The Office.”We’re not bringing it back,” Gleeson affirmed, according to the ⁤ Independent ‍on July 26, 2023.

Gleeson, 42, known for his roles in ⁣films like About Time, Ex Machina, and the Star Wars franchise, stars in The Paper as Ned Sampson, the newly appointed and somewhat inexperienced editor-in-chief of the Toledo Truth Teller, a struggling Midwestern newspaper. The series follows the daily lives of the newspaper’s staff as sampson attempts to revitalize the publication.

Speaking to the PA news agency, ‍Gleeson⁢ emphasized the distinct‍ nature⁢ of the new series.
