Country artist Shaboozey has announced his fourth studio album, “The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales,” set for release on July 31, 2026. The concept album, described as a Western revenge narrative, centers on a character named Cherie Lee who seeks vengeance against the gang responsible for murdering her sheriff father.
The announcement comes nearly two years after Shaboozey’s third album, “Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going,” which he described as a personal journal entry that changed his life and unexpectedly resonated with audiences worldwide.
The lead single, “Born to Die,” is scheduled for release on April 24, 2026, and will introduce listeners to the musical world of the album. Shaboozey stated that the project has been several years in the making and has undergone numerous iterations during its development.
To support the album rollout, Shaboozey will host an immersive pop-up saloon experience at the Stagecoach festival from April 24 to 26, 2026, and is slated to perform on the TODAY Plaza on the album’s release date of July 31.
The artist emphasized that the album represents a significant evolution in his artistic expression, saying he poured himself into the project to push his songwriting and storytelling to new heights. He described the work as a personal promise he felt compelled to keep.
“The Outlaw Cherie Lee & Other Western Tales” will be released through Shaboozey’s American Dogwood imprint in partnership with EMPIRE. The project continues his pattern of genre-crossing collaborations, following previous work with artists including Jelly Roll, Sierra Ferrell, and BigXthaPlug.
This announcement follows a career-defining period for Shaboozey, highlighted by the Diamond-certified success of “A Bar Song (Tipsy),” which tied for the longest-running No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 at 19 weeks and topped Hot Country Songs for a record 35 consecutive weeks. His collaboration with Jelly Roll on “Amen” earned the Best Country Duo/Group Performance award at the Grammy Awards.
