President El-Sisi‘s Address on National Security and Armed Forces Readiness
President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi praised the Egyptian Armed Forces for their efforts to protect the country’s borders from threats. He spoke during a meeting at the Strategic Command in the new administrative capital, where he was joined by several military leaders.
The Defense Minister, Lieutenant General Ahmed Khalifa, emphasized the need for peace and strong energy capabilities to secure the nation. He highlighted the importance of ongoing development to meet the aspirations of the Egyptian people.
The meeting covered regional and international situations affecting security and stability in the Middle East. Major General Mohamed Kashkoosh shared key points from President El-Sisi’s speech, stating that peace is Egypt’s strategic choice, supported by military power.
Kashkoosh noted the armed forces’ readiness to address any threats. He mentioned specific concerns, including the Houthi threat to shipping in the Red Sea and the situation in Libya, as well as the need for stability in Sudan.
He also pointed out that protecting Egypt’s economic waters in the Mediterranean is crucial for the country’s future. Major General Dr. Samir Farag highlighted the importance of President El-Sisi’s presence to reassure Egyptians about their safety and the armed forces’ preparedness.
