Nathan Fielder’s inventive TV experiment, “The Rehearsal,” is set to compete for several Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Comedy Series. The show, known for its unique blend of reality and fantasy, recently concluded its second season.
While Fielder is in contention for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series, and the show is up for outstanding Casting, the episode “Pilot’s Code” is the focus of many other submissions. This particular episode sees Fielder assisting a couple with their cloned dog, which evolves into a reflection on the “Miracle on the Hudson.”
Fielder, along with Carrie Kemper, Adam Locke-Norton, and Eric Notarnicola, are nominated for Outstanding Directing and Writing for a Comedy series for “Pilot’s Code.”
“Pilot’s Code” also received Emmy submissions for Outstanding Cinematography, Picture Editing, Production Design, Contemporary Costumes, Contemporary Hairstyling, Contemporary Makeup (Non-Prosthetic), and Sound Mixing for a comedy series.
