Unusual Case of Cauliflower Growth in the Anus: A Urologist’s Insights

A man in his 30s sought medical help after discovering cauliflower growth in his anus. The cause of this unusual condition was unexpected.

According to urologist Gu Fangyu, the patient was a virgin and had no history of sexual intercourse. However, he did recall a recent incident where he fell into a public toilet and was splashed with water. This led Gu Fangyu to suspect that the cauliflower virus was contracted through contact with contaminated water in the public toilet.

Gu Fangyu explained that cauliflower (human papillomavirus) can be spread not only through sexual intercourse but also through contact with contaminated surfaces, such as public toilets and hot springs. He emphasized the importance of taking precautions when using public toilets, such as using toilet paper to reduce water splashing and spraying disinfectant before use.

Gu Fangyu’s advice for preventing cauliflower growth includes getting vaccinated against HPV and taking precautions when using public toilets.

Regarding treatment, Gu Fangyu explained that burning the affected area can stop the growth of cauliflower. However, he noted that the virus can have a long incubation period and may be present in other areas of the body, even if symptoms are not yet apparent.
