Nick Thomas, frontman for The Spill Canvas, discussed the upcoming Australian shows. He touched on setlists, the band’s creative direction, and what fans can anticipate from their Australian debut.
Thomas expressed the band’s excitement about connecting with their Australian fans through live music. He emphasized their gratitude for the fans’ support, stating it is essential to the band’s continued existence. He added that they are eager for the energy the Australian crowds will bring.
When asked about the band’s current creative phase, Thomas said that The Spill Canvas is pushing the limits of their sound more than ever before.
Balancing nostalgia with new material is a key consideration for the band. Thomas acknowledged that fans have personal connections to older records like ”Sunsets and Car Crashes” and “No Really, I’m fine.” He said they lean toward a standards-based set, incorporating a few newer songs to connect with fans on multiple levels.
