“The Summer Hikaru Died” Anime to Premiere at Anime Expo 2025
The television anime adaptation of Mokumokuren’s award-winning manga, “The Summer Hikaru Died,” will be introduced to fans at Anime Expo 2025 in Los Angeles. CyberAgent, inc., Kadokawa, and CygamesPictures are co-producing the anime.
The horror manga follows Yoshiki, a high school student, and his unsettling experiences with Hikaru, a mysterious entity imitating his missing best friend. The CyberAgent Group booth (E-65) at the Los Angeles Convention Center will offer an immersive photo experience reflecting the manga’s unique aesthetic. Production materials will also be on display for the first time.
