The victims of the conflict are asking for support from the United States for comprehensive reparations

Solano reiterated that comprehensive compensation for the victims of the armed conflict “is a requirement for the consolidation of peace in the country, which is why we hope that the international community, and especially the United States Government, will support us in this effort . “

The request is based on the commitment of the national government to compensate the victims of the armed conflict, and the need to have sufficient economic resources to implement compensation measures.

The Unit for Comprehensive Attention and Reparation for Victims is an organization created in January 2012 and responsible for issuing comprehensive care, support and reparation measures for victims of the armed conflict in Colombia.
