Think Silicon and LVGL Partner for High-Performance Graphics Libraries for MCUs
Think Silicon and LVGL Collaborate to Enhance Graphics for Microcontrollers
Think Silicon and LVGL are teaming up to create advanced graphics libraries for microcontrollers (MCUs). This partnership aims to improve the performance and energy efficiency of graphical user interfaces (GUIs) on embedded systems.
Think Silicon specializes in ultra-low-power GPU technology. Their NEMA™ GPU-Series will optimize LVGL’s graphics libraries, making them faster and requiring less power. Developers can achieve up to 5 times faster rendering compared to traditional software methods. Additionally, Think Silicon’s compression technology can reduce memory usage by up to 8 times and improve GPU power efficiency by up to 10 times.
Ulli Mueller, Vice President of Think Silicon, highlighted that this collaboration will benefit designers working on devices like wearables, e-bike computers, and medical applications.
Gabor Kiss-Vamosi, CEO of LVGL, expressed that this partnership demonstrates how teamwork can lead to significant advancements. Combining LVGL’s open-source graphics library with Think Silicon’s NEMA GPUs allows developers to create responsive and efficient interfaces for modern technology.
The enhanced LVGL libraries are available on GitHub, specifically optimized for the NEMA pico VG 1000 GPU-Series. For more details, visit Think Silicon’s and LVGL’s websites.
