Thoughts on retired guide dogs Kansai Guide Dog Association | We want to ensure medical expenses are covered for puppies to retired dogs (Kansai Guide Dog Association, Public Interest Foundation, Posted 2024/08/30) – Crowdfunding READYFOR
Thanks to the support of many people, we have reached our next goal of 10 million yen!
Every day I feel the warm feelings of everyone who has supported me and spread the word. Thank you so much.
Today’s activity report is a video of us talking to a guide dog user about retiring their guide dog.
Users have a variety of thoughts about their partner’s retirement.
Because they live together with their pets and share so much love, we want to hand the baton over to the retired dog volunteers in as healthy a state as possible.
When I listen to the stories of our former users, I get the sense that even when their partners change due to retirement, they never forget the love and gratitude they have for all the partners they’ve shared their journey with.
The medical expenses raised through this project will also be used to provide medical care for these retired dogs.
We believe that supporting dogs so that they can live fulfilling lives no matter how old they are is a way of expressing our utmost gratitude and respect to the dogs who are born into our association, and to the users and volunteers who have carefully passed on the baton so that dogs can live healthy lives.
