Young Coaches Complete Judo Coaching Assistant Training
Lilly Sager, Maximian Henco, and Thies Rehberg recently completed intensive sports-specific training, earning certification as judo coaching assistants. The three spent part of their Easter holiday at a judo hall in Rotenburg, lower Saxony, acquiring skills and knowledge they plan to integrate into upcoming training sessions at VSV Hohenbostel.
During the training, the new coaches were able to implement and try out a few ideas they brought with them. The Lower Saxony Judo Association organizes the comprehensive course, which includes 25 units of theory and practice. Accomplished completion of the coaching assistant training is recognized as a module toward the trainer-C license.
Club Officials Express Enthusiasm
The VSV Fitness and Judo board expressed its support for the new coaches. “It is indeed great that we were able to inspire three young athletes for a coaching career and can gradually accompany new coaches with their own resources,” the board said in a statement. “We would like to offer much more fitness and health courses. Even with existing offers, such as the judo, we would like to realize even more training days and with these three motivated young athletes we will get a big step closer to it.”
