Inter-School Football Competition Heats Up
The Category A, academic year 2024, age group under 14 inter-school football competition is organized by the Department of Physical Education, Ministry of Tourism and Sports in collaboration with Corno & Nash Company Limited, a subsidiary of Siam Sport Syndicate Public Company Limited. The main sponsors include IMANE, Coca Cola, and Milo.
The final 8 teams competed at Thunderdome Stadium, with Pitchayabundit, the top children’s football team from Nong Bua Lamphu Province, facing off against Bangkok Christian College. Pitchayabundit is managed by “Sia Thep” Suthep Phu Mongkhon Suriya, President of Nong Bua Pitchaya FC, a team in the Thai League.
Pitchayabundit’s starting lineup included Keerati Worasat (goalkeeper), Thanapat Chantakam, Phubodin Saengsing, Natakorn Muangsri, Pordee Chaichantha, Kolwat Duangklang, team captain, Supachok Rue Tithisit, Wipassorn Chataynon, Sukornutshuthamut, and Patchamyuthorn.

Bangkok Christian College’s starting lineup included Worakorn Jaisue (goalkeeper), Teethach Acheewasujarit, Ronapee Sri Nak, Thanapat Tawanthiang, Kittipat Kiattiam, team captain, Natthakorn Somboon, Tinnapop Tadto, Thanawit Suphamongkol, Chatchanan Chainarongrat, Political Science Prommorn, and Pongthep Thandon.
The match began with Bangkok Christian taking the lead in the 6th minute, thanks to an own goal by Pordee Chaichantha. However, Pitchayabundit quickly equalized in the 7th minute with a shot by Phubodin Saengsing.

The match continued with both teams creating scoring opportunities. Bangkok Christian took the lead again in the 31st minute with a goal by Phongthep Tandon, but Pitchayabundit equalized once more in the 35th minute with a goal by Pramet Khamphuthon.
The first half ended with Bangkok Christian taking the lead again in the 35+2 minute with another goal by Phongthep Tandon. However, Pitchayabundit equalized for the third time in the 63rd minute with a goal by Pramet Khamphuthon, tying the match 3-3.

The match went to a penalty shootout, with Pitchayabundit emerging victorious, winning 4-3. They will advance to the semi-finals to face Thonburi Hypothesis.

The semi-finals will be held on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, at the Supachalasai Stadium. The first match will be between Thong Samrit Temple and Suankularb Wittayalai at 3:00 pm, followed by the second semi-final between Thonburi Hypothesis and Pitchayabundit at 5:00 pm. The matches will be broadcast live on the Siamsport FootballSiam fan page.
