Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s US Visit
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has returned to the US for a three-day visit. Modi returned from Delhi at 4 am. Modi, who will arrive in Delaware, will attend the Quad Summit of India, the US, Japan, and Australia. Modi will hold a special meeting with US President Joe Biden. Modi will also attend a dinner hosted by President Biden. The Prime Minister, who will arrive in New York tomorrow, will attend a reception hosted by the Indian community on Long Island.
Atishi Marlena to be Sworn in as Delhi Chief Minister
Atishi Marlena will be sworn in as the Chief Minister of Delhi today. Other ministers will also be sworn in and will assume office at 4.30 pm in Rajnivas, Delhi. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena will be sworn in. Gopal Rai, Kailash Gehlot, Saurabh Bharadwaj, Imran Hussain, and Mukesh Ahlawat will be the ministers. Mukesh Ahlawat is the only new face in the cabinet. The Delhi Legislative Assembly will meet on 26 and 27 of this month. Tomorrow, Kejriwal will organize a public program at Jantar Mantar called Janata Ki Adalat.
Thrissur Pooram Trouble Probe Report
Thrissur Pooram trouble probe report by ADGP MR. Ajit Kumar will be handed over to the Chief Minister and DGP today. The Chief Minister’s directive was to complete the probe within a week. The ADGP in charge of law and order issues a report after four months. Four complaints received by the Chief Minister have been forwarded for probe. When Mr. Ajith Kumar was in Thrissur, Pooram became a mess. Ankit Ashok, who was the Commissioner of Thrissur, was transferred after he pointed out the reason for the mess in Thrissur Pooram. It remains to be seen whether the full responsibility will be confined to the Commissioner or whether there will be other recommendations in the ADGP report.
Scooter Passenger Murder Case Update
The police will interrogate the accused held in the scooter passenger murder case in Mainagapally, Kollam today. Further evidence will be gathered based on the evidence of drug use by the accused. The Shastamkota court has remanded the accused Ajmal and Dr. Sreekutty in custody till 5 pm on Sunday.
