Thrissurpuram Riots: K. Sudhakaran Demands Justice, Calls for Immediate Judicial Inquiry
Thrissurpuram Riots: Investigation Sabotaged, Alleges KPCC President KK Sudhakaran
Thrissurpuram, Kerala – In a shocking revelation, KPCC president KK Sudhakaran MP has alleged that the investigation into the Thrissurpuram riots has been sabotaged by the state government. The police responded to an RTI query stating that they were not aware of any ongoing investigation, further confirming the sabotage.
The Chief Minister of Kerala had earlier assured the public that a thorough investigation would be conducted into the riots and a report would be submitted within a week. However, five months have passed, and the investigation has been limited to mere statements and farces. Despite repeated demands for the release of the investigation report, the Chief Minister and the government have remained tight-lipped.
Sudhakaran alleged that the ADGP, who has links with the RSS, was assigned to investigate the Pooram Kalika scandal with the intention of subverting the investigation. This move is seen as a reciprocation for shielding the Chief Minister’s trusted ADGP from service despite serious allegations of gold smuggling, murder, and illegal acquisition of assets.
The KPCC president further alleged that the CPM took charge of a secret bid to win the BJP in Thrissur to escape investigation by central agencies. Sudhakaran questioned whether the Chief Minister has managed to convince the constituent parties and even his own ranks why he is protecting the RSS-affiliated ADGP.
The people of Kerala have a right to know that the Chief Minister is the secret force behind the chaos in Thrissurpuram. It is unprecedented that the accused are being used to investigate the case, a move that has been likened to giving the key to the thief. This is a clear indication of the decay that the CPM is facing today, Sudhakaran said.
The KPCC president also criticized the Pinarayi regime for promoting those with RSS affiliations, stating that the PM is afraid of the Sangh Parivar. This move is seen as a credit to the Sangh Parivar-oriented PM, who is protecting those with RSS affiliations.
