Throne of Glory: Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Oruba Unite in Quest for King’s Cup Supremacy
Al-Qadisiyah and Al-Oruba Clash in the King’s Cup
Al-Qadisiyah First Football Team and its rivals Al-Oruba are set to face off in the King’s Cup competition, as they look to build on their progress from the end of last season in the Saudi Roshan League.
The two teams have a rich history, having previously met in the same round of the competition 41 years ago, in 1983. Notably, Al-Qadisiyah emerged victorious, defeating Al-Oruba 2-0 after two extra times.
Al-Qadisiyah coach Jose Mitchell is expected to impose his signature pressing attacking style, relying on the same squad that took to the field against Al-Okhdud in a 0-0 draw in the Roshan League. Meanwhile, Al-Oruba coach Alvaro Pacheco is looking to build on his team’s recent victory against Al-Fateh and secure a positive result to advance to the round of 16.
The highly anticipated match is scheduled to take place at the Prince Stadium in Dammam at 09:00, with both teams eager to make their mark in the competition.
