Oklahoma City Thunders in Championship Parade After NBA Finals Victory

Oklahoma City erupted in party Tuesday as the Thunder, fresh off their NBA Finals ‌victory over ‍the Indiana pacers, paraded through the city.Shai Gilgeous-Alexander,⁢ the newly ​crowned ⁤NBA Finals⁢ MVP, led the charge, trophy in hand, as fans chanted his name. The Oklahoma City Thunder NBA‌ championship ‌parade marked the franchise’s first title since relocating to Oklahoma.

Despite temperatures nearing 100 degrees, thousands of fans packed the streets of Midtown to celebrate the Thunder’s NBA championship.⁤ gilgeous-Alexander, initially ⁤sporting⁢ a white ⁤tank top and a Canadian flag tied⁣ around his waist, made sure fans got a close look at the Larry O’Brien Championship Trophy.

Lu Dort and Chet Holmgren added to the revelry, showering the crowd with champagne from a double-decker bus and⁣ a golf cart. The heat index ‍reached 101 degrees, but ⁤the enthusiasm‌ remained undeterred.

Jalen Williams addressed the crowd, ​acknowledging their unwavering support. “Without this, none of this is possible without⁢ you guys,” Williams ⁢said. “You guys have⁤ been through the ups ‍and downs of the Thunder organization.We appreciate you guys.We love you guys.”

Isaiah Hartenstein, despite ‌being sleep-deprived after the Game 7 victory, shared his excitement. “It’s ‍amazing.⁢ To experience it with the family, with the⁤ community, it’s⁣ been really⁣ special,” Hartenstein said.
