After supermarkets remained closed on the 18th, many are wondering if they will open their doors on the 19th of September this year.

Supermarkets Closed on the 18th

With a five-day National Holiday celebration, there were many who did not plan well and found that, when going to buy products, food, and drinks to celebrate the 18th, the supermarkets in their neighborhood remained closed, leaving them wondering if they will be open on 19 September this year.

The reason for this is that the law on 18 September corresponds to an undeniable holiday, therefore supermarkets must keep their doors closed that day.

Neighborhood businesses frequented by their owners, as well as other establishments such as cinemas, restaurants, gambling casinos, gas stations, and emergency or on-call pharmacies, are not subject to this regulation.

Will Supermarkets Open this Thursday, September 19?

After the 18th when barbecues were the order of the day, in many homes the need to stock up again to face the days of celebration that are still missing.

For this reason, many are wondering if after closing on Wednesday, supermarkets will open their doors to the public this Thursday, September 19.

However, all these people will have to buy what they need from the neighborhood businesses, since this day also corresponds to an unpleasant holiday, as established by the Law 19.973.

In this way, it is expected that this type of establishment will welcome its customers again on Friday the 20th as usual.
