Tianma unveiled a 27-inch gaming screen on January 8th based on an Oxide TFT-LCD panel in QHD (2560×1440) capable of reaching 610 hz. This unprecedented frequency in QHD aims at competitive gamers seeking extreme fluidity without sacrificing definition.
To break the glass ceiling of conventional LCDs, Tianma fully leverages the oxidesemiconductor (Oxide TFT) and combines three key optimizations: adoption of a “positive” liquid crystal, refinement of the alignment layer process, and structural adjustments to the TFT. The resulting gain in electron mobility allows supporting a frame rate of 610 Hz while maintaining QHD resolution.
