Tiger’s Comeback Quest: Woods, 48, Takes Another Swing at Recovery with Back Surgery
Tiger Woods Undergoes Back Surgery Again
Renowned golfer Tiger Woods has undergone lower back surgery to alleviate back pain and cramps. The 48-year-old golf legend announced the news on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on September 14th.
Woods, who has won 82 PGA Tour titles, including 15 major championships, underwent the surgery in West Palm Beach, Florida. The procedure aimed to relieve pressure on a nerve in his lumbar region.
Since his car accident in 2021, Woods has been participating in fewer tournaments. This year, he has only played in the four major championships and the Genesis Invitational. Woods expressed his hope to successfully complete his rehabilitation and return to normal daily activities, including golf.
