Former rugby player Mike Tindall is a key figure behind ⁤R360,a new rugby league competition seeking ⁣to reshape the sport. The league aims to bring generational change⁤ to rugby.

R360’s architects include Tindall, Stuart Hooper, formerly Bath’s director of rugby, and John loffhagen, a lawyer involved‌ in ‌creating the Indian Premier League and LIV Golf. Mark Spoors, a former rugby agent, is also a co-founder.

the R360 ‍competition proposes a “grand prix” format with 12 franchises—eight for men and four for women. These teams would compete in 16 venues worldwide, including Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Nou‌ Camp, and sao Paulo.

Planned for April-June and ⁣August-September,⁣ the league intends to make players available for‍ international matches, positioning rugby⁤ as a summer ‍sport.
