San Marino Celebrates First Official Victory in History

San Marino, the tiny country located in the northeastern side of the Apennine Mountains, has achieved its first ever victory in an official football match. The team defeated hosts Liechtenstein 1-0 in the European Nations League Championship on Thursday.

According to San Marino coach Roberto Civoli, “We played a perfect match, and the players really wanted to achieve this victory, and they succeeded in doing it with great sacrifice.” This historic win marks a significant milestone for the San Marino national football team.

The winning goal was scored by 19-year-old Nico Sensoli in the 53rd minute of the match. Sensoli was not even born when San Marino achieved its previous victory against Liechtenstein in a friendly match twenty years ago.
