Tip-Off Time: 100th Emperor’s Cup Heats Up as B1 Teams Join the Fray in Round 2 – Full Lineup and Matchups Revealed
Yanagigaura High School Advances to Second Round of 100th Emperor’s Cup All Japan Basketball Championship
Yanagigaura High School, the only high school to advance, faced B3 Tri-Hoop Okayama.
The first round of the 100th Emperor’s Cup All Japan Basketball Championship, held at three venues across the country on September 14th and 15th, has concluded, with seven men’s teams deciding to advance to the second round.
The teams that made it through the first round, out of 47 teams representing prefectures, were Yokogawa Electric WILD BLUE (Tokyo) and Hakuoh University (Tochigi Prefecture) in the East Japan tournament, Fantasista.Ltd (Osaka Prefecture) and ONELYS wakayama (Wakayama Prefecture) in the Central Japan tournament, and Yanagigaura High School (Oita Prefecture), Japan University of Economics (Fukuoka Prefecture), and Yamaguchi Club (Yamaguchi Prefecture) in the Western Japan tournament.
In the second round, the seven teams that advanced from the first round and the teams from B1 (excluding Hiroshima Dragonflies and Ryukyu Golden Kings) to B3 will participate. Yanagigaura High School, the only high school to advance, will face Try Hoop Okayama, which belongs to B3.
