Liv Morgan & Roxanne Perez will challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Championship at WWE’s next Saturday Night’s Main Event special.
The January 24 edition of SNME will feature Rhea ripley & IYO SKY defending their newly won titles against Morgan & Perez. This match was made official on Raw after Morgan & Perez won a triple threat match to become the new number one contenders.
The Kabuki Warriors and bayley & Lyra Valkyria also competed in the number one contender’s match. Asuka & Kairi Sane aimed for another title shot after losing the belts to Ripley & SKY last week, but Morgan pinned Sane for the win. Sane was unaware of the tag to Morgan, who capitalized with a accomplished Oblivion while Sane was focused on Perez.
Montreal’s Bell Centre will host the January 24 SNME special, one week before the Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia. The event will air live on Peacock, marking the first SNME since John Cena’s retirement in December.
