TJ Morin: Sports Writer and Die-Hard Fan
Commanders fan Finds Hope in Unexpected Place: A Butler Bulldog
Washington, D.C. – For TJ Morin, a lifelong Washington Commanders fan, the past few seasons have been a rollercoaster of emotions. From heartbreaking losses to glimpses of potential, the team’s performance has left many fans, including Morin, feeling frustrated and disillusioned.
But amidst the disappointment, Morin found an unexpected source of hope: his alma mater, Butler University.
“Being a Commanders fan is tough,” Morin admits,”but watching the Butler Bulldogs basketball team this year has been a breath of fresh air.”
Morin, a Sports Media graduate of Butler, has always been a passionate supporter of the Bulldogs. This year, though, their success has taken on a new meaning.
“seeing their dedication, their teamwork, their resilience… it reminds me of what I want to see in my Commanders,” Morin explains. “It gives me hope that maybe, just maybe, we can turn things around here in D.C.”
The Bulldogs’ underdog spirit resonates deeply with Morin. As a Commanders fan, he’s used to rooting for the team that often faces an uphill battle.
“We’re not always the favorites,” Morin says,”but we never give up. That’s what I love about both the Bulldogs and the Commanders. We fight until the very end.”
While the Commanders’ future remains uncertain, Morin finds solace in the Bulldogs’ success. Their journey serves as a reminder that even in the face of adversity, hope and determination can prevail.
And who knows? Maybe someday, the Commanders will find their own Butler Bulldog magic.
