Discovering Nigeria’s Digital Ecosystem: A Togolese Delegation’s Immersion Trip
A delegation from Togo, including the winners of the Togo Digital Awards, embarked on an immersion trip to Nigeria on September 8. The trip, funded by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Digital Transformation, with the support of German cooperation through GiZ, aims to explore Nigeria’s digital ecosystem, also known as the “African Silicon Valley” due to its remarkable growth in recent years.
Since September 8, 2024, the winners of the third edition of the Togo Digital Prize have been on Nigerian soil for a 7-day immersion in the technology ecosystem of this country.

The Togolese start-ups will have the opportunity to meet with leaders of Nigerian start-ups and large institutions, public and private, in the digital sector, while discovering famous incubators. Togo aims to draw inspiration from Nigeria’s good practices, which has established itself as a major technological hub in Africa, and has produced a number of success stories.

The government’s ambition, as expressed in the “Digital Togo 2025” strategy, is to further release the country’s growth potential, improve its competitiveness, and ensure greater social inclusion for the populations.
