New toll rates are set to take effect for international bridges in Ciudad Juárez and various highway toll booths across the state of Chihuahua starting April 13, 2026. These adjustments follow a series of updates to transportation costs in the region, with some reports indicating increases ranging from 4 to 7.5 percent.
The updates specifically target the international bridges serving Ciudad Juárez and the express highways within the state. This follows a previous round of adjustments implemented in January 2025, where rates at 11 toll booths in Chihuahua increased between 4 and 10 pesos to account for inflation and infrastructure maintenance.
International Bridge Adjustments
The updated tariffs for the international bridges in Ciudad Juárez are scheduled to begin on April 13, 2026. These changes affect the primary crossing points used by motorists and pedestrians traveling between Mexico and the United States.

The adjustments apply to the International Paso del Norte, Zaragoza, and Guadalupe bridges. While the April 2026 rates are the current focus, previous adjustments established a baseline for these crossings, including specific fees for cars, motorcycles, and pedestrians.
State Highway Toll Increases
Beyond the border crossings, toll booths throughout the state of Chihuahua are seeing updated pricing. These increases are authorized by the Secretariat of Infrastructure, Communications and Transportation (SICT) at the federal level.
According to Oscar Ibáñez Hernández, State Government Representative in the Northern Zone, federal highways such as Juárez-Villahumada and Sueco-Sacramento require the most constant maintenance, necessitating these periodic rate adjustments.
The updated rates for various Chihuahua toll booths include:
- Sueco-Villahumada: 235 pesos
- Delicias-Conchos: 89 pesos
- Conchos-Camargo: 89 pesos
- Camargo-Jiménez: 120 pesos
- Chihuahua-Sacramento: 94 pesos
- Ojo Alegre-Flores Magón: 125 pesos
- Santa Isabel-Cuauhtémoc: 147 pesos
- Jiménez-Savalza: 95 pesos
- Flores Magón-Galeana: 151 pesos
- Samalayuca-San Jerónimo: 93 pesos
- Chihuahua-Ojinaga: 151 pesos
Infrastructure and Economic Context
The rate increases are designed to address inflation rates from previous years and provide the necessary funding to maintain the state’s highway infrastructure. The most significant adjustment in recent cycles occurred on the Sueco-Villahumada stretch, which saw a rise from 225 to 235 pesos.
The regional transportation network continues to see significant investment and study. For example, the $133 million Tornillo bridge has been the subject of studies aimed at increasing its crossing volume, as usage levels have remained low.
These cost increases come as freight flows in Mexico have faced challenges, including widespread blockades that have snarled highways and threatened the movement of goods across the country.
Travelers and logistics operators are advised to account for these increased costs when planning transit through Chihuahua’s toll roads and international border crossings.
