Interim UFC heavyweight champion Tom Aspinall says Jon Jones is ‍retired. Aspinall,eager to move forward,expressed his frustration on ESPN’s “Good ⁢Guy/Bad Guy” podcast,stating he’s​ done⁣ waiting⁢ for a potential unification fight.

Aspinall (15-3)‍ last defended his‍ interim title in July 2024. He is pushing for a more active heavyweight division. Dana White, UFC CEO, had previously⁢ touted a Jones-Aspinall match as potentially “the biggest ​fight in heavyweight history,” but⁢ Jones’ lack of⁢ commitment has stalled progress.
