This time, he triumphed in the inaugural fanatics Games, a competition held at Fanatics fest in New York that pitted athletes and celebrities against fans in a series of challenges. The seven-time Super Bowl champion secured the top spot on the 100-person leaderboard with 399.1 points, claiming the $1 million prize.
Brady, currently a part-owner of the Las Vegas Raiders and a fox Sports NFL broadcaster, announced he would distribute $5,000 to each of the 50 participating fans. He plans to donate the remaining sum to charity, emphasizing the importance of giving back. The Fanatics Games featured eight sports-themed skills competitions,including quarterback skills,basketball shooting,soccer goal-scoring,and a UFC striking challenge.
Justin Gaethje, a UFC fighter, secured second place with 345.5 points, winning a Ferrari 812 GTS. Matt Dennish, a 39-year-old teacher from Pennsylvania, finished third with 326 points. His prize: a 2003-04 Topps Chrome Gold Refractor LeBron James rookie card, numbered to 50 and graded 9.5 by Beckett Grading Services.The fan’s role in the event proved lucrative.
Dennish later sold the LeBron James card to Brady for $250,000, along with a signed card and jersey, according to cllct.com.
