He is set to perform a show called "Tommy McClellan’s World Class" at the Glove Theatre on December 14. This event will feature his comedy alongside other local comedians and will raise funds for the Mayfield High School Nordic ski team.
McClellan credits comedy and athletics as central parts of his life for 17 years. His upcoming performance reflects on his growth as both a comic and an athlete while also highlighting his qualification for the upcoming World Winter Triathlon Championships in Pragelato, Italy.
He finished first in his age group and second overall in the men’s sprint division at the Breckebeiner Triathlon in February. This event also served as the U.S. winter triathlon championships.
McClellan’s comedy draws on his experiences, including humorous stories about his high school Nordic coach. He enjoys connecting with audiences, stating that the joy of making others laugh makes the hard days worthwhile.
Recently, he has been traveling regularly for performances in Washington D.C. and New York. He emphasizes the importance of hard work in comedy and the ups and downs of his career, reflecting on experiences from performing on national television to small venues.
Tickets for the show range from $20 to $30 and are available at ticketstripe.com/tommysback. This will be McClellan’s fourth time headlining at The Glove, and he acknowledges that it may be a while before he returns due to his relocation and busy schedule.
