Tony Keenan’s Expert Preview & Top Bets for Punchestown Sunday Races

Punchestown Racing Preview

Tony Keenan shares insights on today’s races at Punchestown, focusing on the John Durkan Memorial Punchestown Chase at 2:25 PM. This race features Ireland’s top two staying chasers and four winners from last season’s novice chasers.

Key Race Details:

• The race may not see the runners perform at their peak due to its timing in late November. Many are using this as a preparation for future races.
• JOURNEY WITH ME stands out as an interesting contender. Though he hasn’t won a Grade 1 race yet, he shows promise at two-and-a-half miles with a solid record. His past performances include several strong finishes, and he’s expected to run well today.

Sonny May‘s Chances:
Farren Glory’s entry in the BetVictor Craddockstown at 1:50 PM surprised analysts. His previous performance was strong, but he needs to improve his jumping against front runners like Touch Me Not.

In the 1:15 PM qualifier for the Pertemps Final, newer horses such as Will Wilde and A Tipp For Gold could show potential. Real Steel, an experienced runner, may also perform well.

Highlighting Sonny May:
At 3:00 PM, Sonny May competes in the Sherry Fitzgerald Brady O’Flaherty Supporting Longford GAA Novice Handicap Hurdle. His recent win at Gowran was impressive, and he has shown consistent improvement. An eight-pound rise in weight might not hinder his performance today.

Conclusion:
Watch for JOURNEY WITH ME and Sonny May in today’s races, as they hold strong potential for favorable outcomes. Enjoy the exciting action at Punchestown!
