Dakaro organizatoriai šiandien buvo numatę kardinaliai kitokią trasą nei ekipažams teko įveikti ankstesnėmis dienomis. Šiandien akmenis keitė smėlis, o ralinius greičio ruožus – važiavimas per kopas.
