Top Festive Events in the GTA: December Weekend Highlights

Welcome December with festive events happening in the GTA this weekend. Enjoy winter festivals, local markets, and entertaining shows like the Cavalcade of Lights and the Snow Queen Musical.

Friday, November 29:

The 2024 One Of A Kind Winter Show

This event features Canadian art, apparel, furniture, and food from small businesses. It runs from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Enercare Centre, Exhibition Place. Adult tickets are $22, and youth, student, and senior tickets are $18. Get tickets here.

Harbourfront Centre’s Tree Lighting Ceremony and Winterfest Toronto

The inaugural tree lighting happens at 7 p.m. with performances by FreePlay. Winterfest, a holiday market, features food, music, and hot chocolate, running from 6 to 10 p.m. This event is free. More info here.

Junction Window Wonderland

The Junction’s annual Window Wonderland is back until January 31. This is a free outdoor art exhibit featuring 20 augmented reality window installations and ten murals by local and international artists. Find out more here.

Saturday, November 30:

Cavalcade of Lights Opening Night

The tree-lighting celebration at Nathan Phillips Square runs from 5 to 10 p.m., with the lighting at 6:40 p.m. This free event features food, local vendors, and public skating. Learn more here.

The Snow Queen Musical

Tattoo Artist Event
