As June approaches, a crucial month for visits, college football programs are intensifying their pursuit of top uncommitted running backs. Recruiting predictions suggest several leading contenders for these sought-after athletes.

Among the top prospects is five-star all-purpose back Derrek Cooper from Hollywood, fla. According to recruiting expert Adam Gorney, Cooper recently visited Auburn and plans to visit Miami, Alabama, Georgia and Ohio State. Texas is also vying for a visit. Miami may have a slight edge,Gorney said,despite Jeremiah Smith’s success at Ohio State and Georgia’s continued interest.
Shekai Lindsey Crowell, a four-star running back from Jackson, Ala., is expected to commit to Alabama on June 26.Despite efforts from Texas and Auburn,the Crimson tide have been the front-runner,gorney noted. Crowell reclassified from 2027 to 2026, further solidifying alabama’s lead.
