actor was driving with four of her children and three of their friends at the time of the collision.
A spokesperson for the 52-year-old actor confirmed the incident to NBC News, stating that another driver allegedly ran a red light while speeding and struck Spelling’s vehicle.
Deputies from the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene, where they identified two vehicles with collision damage. While all occupants were evaluated by responders at the scene, no arrests were made immediately following the crash. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
Injuries and Hospitalization
Spelling and the seven children were taken to the hospital via ambulances to receive treatment. According to reporting from TMZ, the group was treated for a variety of injuries, including cuts, bruises, contusions, concussions and other injuries

TMZ also published photos and video from the scene. The footage appeared to show Spelling speaking animatedly with first responders, while the photographs suggested that Spelling’s vehicle sustained significantly less damage than the other car involved in the accident.
Family and Background
Spelling shares five children, ranging in age from 9 to 19, with her ex-husband Dean McDermott. Four of these children were present in the vehicle during the April 2 incident.
This is not the first time the actor has been involved in a vehicular accident with her children. In 2011, while pregnant with her third child and traveling with two other young children, Spelling reported on social media that she had been in a pretty big accident
while attempting to evade a paparazzo who was following her and her children to school.
