British reality TV star Jake Hall, best known for his role on ITV2’s The Only Way Is Essex (TOWIE), has died aged 35 after a tragic accident at a holiday villa in Mallorca, Spain. Hall was found by police in the early hours of Wednesday, May 7, 2026, with fatal head injuries believed to have resulted from smashing into a glass door during a villa party, according to multiple verified reports.
The Spanish Civil Guard is leading the investigation into the circumstances of Hall’s death, which occurred in the municipality of Santa Margalida. Authorities are focusing on the theory that the incident was a tragic accident, though the investigation remains ongoing. No arrests have been made, and six other individuals—four men and two women—who were present at the villa are being questioned as part of the probe.
A Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) spokesperson confirmed that the UK government is supporting Hall’s family and is in contact with Spanish authorities. The mother of Hall’s eight-year-old daughter, model Misse Beqiri, has issued a statement through her talent agent, asking for privacy and respect as the family grieves their “devastating loss.”
“At this time, Misse’s focus is on supporting and protecting their child as they come to terms with this devastating loss. The family are asking for privacy, compassion and respect while they grieve privately.”

Hall’s final public post, shared on Instagram hours before his death, reflected a more reflective mood. In a video, he wrote, “Life is bollocks sometimes but I’m gonna try remember the good things. Looking through things. I’m just making art – in many forms.” The post has since been widely shared as tributes pour in from fans, colleagues, and friends in the entertainment industry.
Born in 1991, Hall first appeared on TOWIE in 2015, during the show’s 14th series, and remained a cast member for three seasons. Beyond reality TV, he was also known for his career as a footballer, having played for Boston United, and later as a clothing brand owner and artist. Hall and Beqiri had an on-off relationship, got engaged in 2018, and welcomed their daughter that same year. In recent interviews, Hall spoke openly about the challenges of fame, including the loss of privacy after appearing on the show.
Hall’s death comes months after another former TOWIE star, Jordan Wright, was found dead in a drainage ditch in Thailand in March 2026. The tragic incidents have sparked renewed reflection on the pressures faced by public figures in the entertainment industry.
Tributes have flooded social media, with figures such as DJ Fat Tony and singer Antony Costa of Blue paying heartfelt homage. Fat Tony wrote on Instagram, “Devastating news we Love you @jakehall. Such an awful loss to the world, you beautiful man,” while Costa shared, “So sad. What a lovely bloke you were mate. RIP.”
Hall’s family and friends are being urged to respect their privacy during this difficult time. As the investigation continues, the focus remains on supporting those closest to him as they mourn the loss of a talented and much-loved individual.
