Toyota GR Supra Bids Farewell with Exclusive A90 Final Edition

Toyota GR Supra Bids Farewell with Exclusive A90 Final Edition

November 29, 2024 Catherine Williams - Chief Editor Tech

TOYOTA is saying goodbye to the GR Supra but not without a final celebration. The GR Supra, a favorite among car enthusiasts, first launched in 2019. This was 17 years after the model was last available.

Toyota Chairman Akio Toyota considered the Supra a passion project. He stated, “Even though Toyota had no plans to make a new Supra, I secretly wanted to make it.”

The GR Supra features a choice of two engines: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a 3.0-liter six-cylinder. It offers both manual and automatic transmissions. The latest model can reach a top speed of 163 mph.

As the GR Supra prepares for retirement, it brings one last special edition – the A90 Final Edition. This edition boasts 429 horsepower, unique styling, and a race-inspired interior. Only 300 units will be sold worldwide.

The A90 Final Edition may become one of Toyota’s fastest cars. It includes improvements like a revised airflow system, a new exhaust catalyst, and changes to the ECU mapping.

The exterior features a carbon fiber rear spoiler, front-mounted canards, and a large cooling vent on the hood. Inside, the car has carbon fiber Recaro bucket seats, finished in Alcantara, with the driver’s seat in red.
