Tragedy on the Highway: 4 Lives Lost as Passenger Bus Plunges into Ditch
A passenger bus plunged into a ditch at Shatial in the Upper Kohistan district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, as a result of which 4 people were killed and several others injured, while the death toll is expected to rise.
According to the sources, the spokesperson of the rescue organization involved in relief work said that the accident occurred due to high speed at Shatial where a private company passenger bus going from Skardu to Rawalpindi lost control of the driver and fell into the ditch.
According to the report, as soon as the accident was reported, district administrative officers, 1122 rescue ambulances and local volunteers arrived at the spot and started rescue activities.
Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sher Khan said that as a result of the accident, the injured were shifted to Shatial Hospital.
